Why it matters
For commercial growers, marketable yield per hectare is the number that pays the bills. Small gains in set, size, and fewer culls compound into real returns. The aim is to keep the plant from ever becoming limited — by nutrition, roots, or stress — through the whole cycle.
How to measure it
Track marketable yield per area (kg/ha or t/acre), average fruit size/weight, fruit number per plant, and cull/reject rate. Compare blocks with and without a program change, season over season.
