Blight BioControl

Natural Biological Fungicide for Broad Spectrum Control

Blight BioControl is a microbial fungicide that is applicable on leaves and soil as a foliar spray. It targets bacterial or fungal diseases like citrus canker or bacterial leaf spotting, anthracnose, damping off, downy mildew, fusarium, phytophthora, and wilt disease. Any type of blight, fungal, and bacterial infections can significantly reduce crop yields.

APPLICATION

At the beginning of disease occurrence, use 7.6 mL of product with one gallon (1 gal.) of water to dilute Blight BioControl and 3.8 mL of productwith 1 gallon to prevent disease occurrence. It canalso be used in other quantities during disease outbreak, respecting the dilution rate of 1:1,000; product to water. After dilution, spray the productonto plant leaf or drench the soil. Do not apply prior to excessive rains, since this may reduce product effectiveness.

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

Blight BioControl contains the bacterium, Steptomyces griseofuscus, as the active ingredient. This bacterium belongs to the genus of bacteria responsible for over half of the world’s antibiotics. Cultured using our unique fermentation process, S. griseofuscus produces streptomycin, an antibiotic, during the culturing process. This antibiotic helps target multiple blight diseases in plants caused by fungi and other bacteria.

SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL INFO

If swallowed, this product may cause lung damage. This product is environmentally friendly, butat disposal do not contaminate water or soil.

MODE OF ACTION

The bacterium, Streptomyces griseofuscus produces the antibiotic streptomycin. Streptomycin inhibits protein synthesis in pathogens by disrupting their ribosomes, leading to their mortality. S. griseofuscus also produces other antibiotic compounds such as antimycin, candicidin B, and cycloheximide. These antibiotics play a major role in the biological control of plant pathogens and are relatively innocuous to human health.

EFFICACY INFORMATION

• Effective against bacterial soft rot, citrus canker, bacterial leaf spot, bacterial speck, bacterial blight of rice, and rice blast.
• Effective against powdery and downy mildew of beans, hollow blight of French beans, etc.
• Effective against early blight of tomatoes, tomato withering disease, seedling blight of oats, cover smut of oats, etc.
• Effective against blister rust, brown rot of peach, fire blight of apples and pears, etc.
• Effective against spinach downy mildew and cucumber gray mold.
• Effective against chilli anthracnose and chilli phytophora.
